About Laura Ritch 

I am a cyanotype artist and photographer

living in Southern Maine.

In 2008 I received a Bachelors of Fine Art

from the Art Institute of Boston (Lesley University) with a major in photography. 

 

Soon after graduation, I went to nursing school and received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing at

Umass Boston.  I have been working as a

registered nurse for thirteen years.

 

I returned to my photographic practice in 2020 as an outlet while simultaneously being pregnant and working on a Covid Unit at a major Boston hospital.

 

Since then, I have been on a photographic  journey exploring family, home, and the magical impermanence of life.
